Joints are often neglected in a plant.
Yet, despite their low cost, they are an invaluable asset to ensure constant performance, respect for the environment and safety.
But let's start from the beginning: a person with a responsibility as the maintenance manager has to constantly deal with problems arising from loss of efficiency and with the continuous search for simple solutions to even complex problems.
Well, in this context textile joints are often important allies, which must be repaired (when possible) or replaced at the slightest evidence of damage or wear.
Especially when the plant is new, even the most experienced maintenance manager usually takes it for granted that all joints work perfectly, that they are optimal for that plant, that they do not lead to performance losses and they are absolutely SAFE. But this is often not the case, because the joints are not identical.
Over time each joint can lose efficiency or be poorly calibrated to the needs of the plant, so companies often throw away several thousand of Euros, unaware that the simple replacement of a joint can optimise the whole process.
